New addition for charter season 2015 – Bavaria Cruiser 46 “Easy Point”

We are happy to announce new addition to our fleet for charter season 2015 in Croatia – Bavaria Cruiser 46. BAVARIA scores a hat trick – hot on the heels of the CRUISER 37 and 41 comes the CRUISER 46. Like the new CRUISER line, the new CRUISER 46 was developed by BAVARIA together with two of the leading companies in the boating industry: Farr Yacht Design (USA), focused primarily on the naval architecture, and Design Unlimited (UK), responsible for both the exterior styling and interior design details.

CRUISER 46 – EASY HANDLING. GREAT COMFORT FOR UP TO 9 PEOPLE

You would be hard pressed to find another sailing yacht in her class that offers more space, more comfort and is as easy to handle as the CRUISER 46. She has balanced sailing and manoeuvring properties and impressive potential speed. Twin rudder blades make the CRUISER 46 adaptable in all wind conditions and courses. Using her new generation navigational instruments, you can sit down at the large cockpit table and use wireless Internet on your tablet to plan your trip at your leisure onboard the CRUISER 46.

QUALITY

Mast base, cleats, blocks, winches, stanchions, cockpit windows, hatches – the list of components that belong on the deck and in the cockpit of a CRUISER 46 is long. A CRUISER 46 has over 40 items that the BAVARIA product managers factor in. An efficient deck layout is the result of the many years of experience shared by the product managers, designers and boat builders at BAVARIA. Each piece of equipment has its proper place on the deck – it is not placed just anywhere, but fitted to the millimetre exactly where it is most effective for handling on deck. In the construction of the deck, aluminium sheets are later laminated in crucial areas of the sandwich construction, giving BAVARIA yachts above-average stability. Computer-controlled milling and drilling ensure that positioning is precisely as previously defined by the product team, again to the nearest millimetre. Tensions and weights of halyards and sheets are carefully calculated in advance so that each fitting and each winch is correctly sized and positioned when mounted on the deck.

Innovative interior

The CRUISER 46 comes standard in a 3- and a 4-cabin version. If you are not sure how many cabins you might actually need, you have the option to make use of BAVARIA’s unique flexible bulkhead system. In just a few simple steps, wood panels and doors divide the main cabin into two spacious separate cabins. But regardless of whether you have three or four cabins, each cabin on a CRUISER 46 still has tremendously generous storage space in the lockers and under the bunks.

Saloon with options

It is up to the individual owner to decide on the design of the saloon on their CRUISER 46. This boat is full of options even while still in the shipyard. A foldable saloon seat offers additional storage space and seating for guests at the saloon table. With its chart table function, the saloon table has space for you to spread out numerous charts, while the map and bookshelf can store a library of harbour guides. And whether you are sailing your CRUISER 46 with a party of nine or only one companion, the saloon has ample space to accommodate guests. An innovative navigation space can be combined with the saloon table, with space adjacent to it to keep binoculars and a hand-bearing compass so that the crew has immediate access to everything important.

TRIM and DOCK CONTROL

The aim of the TRIM and DOCK CONTROL systems developed by BAVARIA is to make it possible to sail a yacht of this size with a small crew and to be able to manoeuvre her safely to any berth in the harbour. The TRIM CONTROL system is based on powerful electric winches that can not only pull the sails tight but also ease them in a controlled manner. A CRUISER 46 with TRIM CONTROL is tacked with the press of a button. In the harbour, DOCK CONTROL ensures precise manoeuvring of the CRUISER 46. Using a joystick, the engine as well as bow and stern thrusters are controlled and make mooring or casting off a breeze.
