Sobra is small village and harbor which lies on the north-east coast of the Mljet Island and offer views to the Peljesac Peninsula. Sobra is main ferry port on the island with regular lines to Dubrovnik and Korcula. It is a good shelter for boaters in all winds except eastern ones. There are no hazards when approaching Sobra bay. Moorings are available in front of the restaurants Konoba Lanterna and Villa Mungos, but again, you are expected to eat in their restaurant if you want to use mooring. North-west anchorage next to the fish farm is possible but holding is moderate in sand and weed. The rest of the bay is too deep for anchoring. Fuel jetty is in the north-east corner of the bay and you have water there, but no electricity. There is not much to do here except pure enjoyment in wonderful nature. There are three restaurants, small grocery shop and scooter rental if you would like to explore the island.
