Day 1: Trogir, 0 NM
On the first day of your cruise stay moored in Trogir and discover this beautiful town. Its ancient, wonderfully preserved stone-built medieval centre situated on a small island is protected as a UNESCO World heritage sites. It is only short walk away from marina across the narrow canal dividing Čiovo island and Trogir town.
Trogir is in fact the best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic town in Central Europe with 2300 years of continuous urban tradition. Hence, among its narrow cobbled streets you will find a lot of interesting cultural and historical monuments and other buildings such as castles, towers, dwellings and palaces from different periods, as well as art galleries, different shops, lovely bars and fine restaurants.
Day 2: Trogir – ACI marina Palmižana, Hvar – Pakleni islands, 23 NM
About four hours of sailing will take you to beautiful ACI marina Palmižana, situated in the homonyms bay on Sveti Klement island. It is part of breathtaking Pakleni islands archipelago, in the very nearness of famous Hvar town, one of the most attractive Croatian destinations. On the way to Palmižana you may drop the anchor for swimming in one of several lovely coves on the southern part of Šolta island.
If you prefer anchorage for the second night, you will find it in one of many safe bays on Pakleni islands among which most popular is Vinogradišće bay. Free berth or buoy in Hvar town harbour is almost impossible to find during the high season, so don’t waste your time trying to get it. If you want to visit Hvar town anyhow, book a berth in advance at ACI marina Palmižana and take an early evening taxi boat to the town.
In bustling Hvar discover it’s remarkable beauty and rich history, walk through narrow cobbled streets and climb to the castle overlooking the town, or just choose one of many fine restaurants and enjoy great seafood. If you decide to stay at Palmižana you may take a long walk across the island and discover its lovely coves or choose one of several nice taverns as well.
Day 3: ACI marina Palmižana – Lastovo island, 31 NM
Third day of this cruising route will take you to the mighty island of Lastovo, the farthest large and populated island in Croatian Adriatic. Every effort you have made to arrive here will certainly pay off by undeniable beauty of the nature, limpidity of the sea and by truly magical atmosphere of the island and its surrounding archipelago protected as a Natural park. Hence park rangers will approach you with a boat to charge for the entrance.
On Lastovo there are several berthing or anchoring possibilities. On the western part there is a spacious Velji Lago bay suitable for anchoring in several belonging coves, while berths can be found at the waterfront in Pasadur. Another waterfront with berths is in Zaklopatica cove on the northern coast, but berths can also be found on jetties of several recommended restaurants which automatically means you will dine there.
From Zaklopatica do not miss to take a 30-minute walk up the hill to the old town of Lastovo, where time has stopped few centuries ago. Amazing local architecture, together with specific urbanization and relaxed atmosphere, are fascinating. Particular shape of chimneys has to be noticed as well. Anchorage in beautiful Skrivena luka bay on the southern coast is worth a visit too.
Day 4: Lastovo island – Korčula town, Korčula island, 27 NM
When sailing to Korčula town drop the anchor at Lastovnjaci islets or in Lumbarda archipelago for swimming in crystal clear sea. Number of safe berths in Korčula are restricted to quite small and crowded ACI marina Korčula, so book it in advance. Alternatively, there is a small marina in nearby Lumbarda or anchorage in Luka cove, both east from Korčula town.
Korčula is exceptionally picturesque and attractive town with old centre almost completely fortified with well-preserved stone walls. Walk through its narrow and bustling cobbled streets is a must, as well as visit to Marco Polo’s house. Korčula boasts centuries-long history rich with interesting facts and figure, worth to be discovered.
World-famous traveller Marco Polo was allegedly born in Korčula in 13th century, but what is confirmed is his stay in the town for some period. Nevertheless, visit his house and discover routes of his ancient voyages. In pretty vivid old-town there are many bars and restaurants, but before choosing one, walk to the fortress up in the hill and enjoy amazing view of Pelješac peninsula and channel dividing it from Korčula.
Day 5: Korčula town – Lovišće bay, Šćedro island, 21 NM
After night in vivid Korčula point the bow towards magnificent Šćedro island, distant just 21 miles or less than four hours of relaxed navigation. Final destination is deep in the island recessed beautiful anchorage of Lovišće, located on the northern part. Lovišće is well protected and divided in four coves, each one more beautiful than the other.
For safe overnight stay drop the anchor and tie a stern line to a rock or tree on the coastline. Since there is no settlement on the island but only several houses, peace and quietness are guaranteed. Of course there are three or four restaurants in Lovišće as well, which offer delicious cuisine, mostly fresh seafood, taken out from the sea just a few hours earlier.
Apart from fine dining, on Šćedro you will enjoy in almost untouched nature and joy of swimming in pure and crystal clear seawater. Relax on the deck to fill your batteries and prepare for return to reality, or walk around the island but be careful in order not to get lost due to dense vegetation.
Day 6: Šćedro island – Milna, Brač island, 26 NM
After wilderness on Šćedro, on sixth day of this adventurous route it is time to start adaption to civilization. Hence, next port of call is small town of Milna, located in vast bay on the western coast of Brač island. But during the cruise to Milna stop for swimming in one of the bays on Pakleni islands or Hvar, which will be halfway to destination.
This deeply recessed bay represents well protected harbour from all winds and it offers many possibilities for safe stay overnight. There are even three marinas and berths at the waterfront. For quiet night choose first marina on the left while entering harbour, and if you prefer bustling atmosphere of the typical Mediterranean town, choose berths at the waterfront or in ACI marina.
In Milna walk around this lovely, stretched bay and explore vivid town and its many interesting old buildings. Have a meal or just a drink in one of many taverns, and let the relaxing atmosphere completely overtake you before coming back to Trogir.
Day 7: Milna – Trogir, 17 NM
About 17 nautical miles are left to reach home port, Trogir. It takes about three hours of sailing, hence, you have plenty of time to explore northern coast of Šolta island. Drop the anchor in one of many enchanting bays and take refreshment in the sea, or have lunch in villages of Stomorska, Nečujam or Rogač, where you can refill fuel as well.
As your berth is waiting for you in Trogir, do not hurry but make the most of your last day on the boat for enjoying the Adriatic sea. When the boat is safely moored in Trogir, anyhow visit its bustling streets in incredible historical centre one more time.
