Drvenik Veli is an island which belongs to municipality of Trogir. It is situated in the middle-Dalmatian archipelago, northwest of Solta. Nearest mainland is Vinisce port. Its 24 km of coastline is famous for sand and pebble beaches with many coves and bays. Most beautiful beach is Krknjasi beach on the south-east coast of the island. Beach is protected by 2 islands, small and big Krknjas. In the case of N or NW winds, you can use this bay as a safe anchorage and enjoy traditional Dalmatian cuisine in a restaurant just couple of meters from the beach. Please avoid this bay in a case of E and SE winds and proceed to Sesula cove on the island of Solta. Main industries on the island are fishing, agriculture and tourism. The only village on the island is Drvenik and there you can find few grocery stores and restaurants. Everything else is beautiful non-polluted nature with numerous inlets and hidden bays. Bay Grabule is only bay on Drvenik Veli protected from all winds and can serve as a good shelter for boaters.
